Investor in People

investor.jpg In 2007, Magisters became the first law firm in the CIS to attain the international Investor in People Standard.
The Investor in People Standard was developed in Great Britain in 1991 under the auspices of the British Trade Union Congress. Since 1997 the program has gained an international status. About 32 thousand companies in more than 30 countries of the world have Investor in People Standard certification.
Regardless of the time and money a company invests in new technologies or systems, its employees and the things they do are the keystone of its success. The Investor in People Standard is unique in its focus on people. Its fundamental belief is in the development of people, engaged in any area of business, to achieve a specific positive result. The Standard takes all staff-related issues into account: development, training, motivation, assessment, relations with company management and remuneration of labor.
Compliance with this Standard strengthens our top level professionalism with clients and increases the competitiveness of our Firm. To be efficient, an organization must provide its employees the opportunity to develop, improve their abilities, train, learn new skills, provides the opportunity for people to grow professionally and be successful.

How MBAs Can Be Used To Find Jobs In Corporate America

2010-12-07

In today's tough economic market, jobseekers in corporate America need every advantage available. One of the best ways jobseekers can do is to improve their qualifications. For jobseekers looking to improve your qualifications and gain an edge in the market place, an online MBA program can be one of the best assets.
Whether looking for a new job or are looking to advance in a current position, an online MBA program can help create the needed edge. Getting an MBA online allows people to continue working and gaining the experience necessary for advancement in corporate America. While completing an MBA, and once finished, the additional education and contacts gained can be used to help you find jobs in corporate America.
An online MBA program can best help jobseekers looking for certain types of jobs. Whether someone is looking for a management or functional position in sales, accounting, finance, or marketing, the search can be greatly aided by an MBA. There are several ways that getting an MBA helps jobseekers looking for positions in corporate America.
MBA programs allow access to career services and networking opportunities that can be key to finding jobs in corporate America. Almost two-thirds of job openings in the United States are never advertised. The number is even higher for jobs that require an MBA. MBA programs, including online MBA programs, offer a wealth of networking opportunities. Many people find that graduating from or being in an MBA program offers them access to information about job openings and companies that they would never otherwise find.
Furthermore, online MBA programs offer students access to career services. A good career services program has contacts with corporate America recruiters and headhunters. For many MBA jobs, recruiters and headhunters are the only available to access for job hunters. By doing well in an online MBA program, job seekers can utilize the contacts held by career services to find unlisted jobs in corporate America.
Another way that getting an MBA can help job hunters find jobs in corporate America is by giving them access to specific MBA centric job sites. With the internet growing in popularity as a tool for job hunters, there are a growing number of sites that cater specifically to those with MBAs. These sites allow MBA holders to pinpoint positions that use skills learned through an MBA program and access job listings that may not be advertised anywhere else.
There are many reasons for people to consider improving their education and qualifications through an online MBA program. Getting an advanced degree can improve one's ability to get a job in corporate America. Networking opportunities and online MBA job postings are just a few of the benefits.

Personality-Myers-Briggs

My results from the Myers-Briggs questionnare  are remarkable ISTJ is the code and my personality name is Introverted Sensing Thinking Judging in addition they named careers and famous people such as the first president of the United States George Washington  and a great career move would be a manager.
In my opinion i think this test is a way of thinking about the critical mind from a techinical response , the test in a way was hard because of the limited response to each question. My results were a shock to me espeically i got one in thinking it blew my mind and was a complete insult to my intelligence however everything else was good to my standards.
My book choice is the first one ''Turning Points, 2 Edition by Diane Ducat. I have to admit I agree with the title  of the book because those two words  explains a got to me about my major and its flexible career opprunities as in what I want to do with a undergraduate and still make money maybe not alot but I'm still young.
I hope to gain a lot of knowlegde about this career advancement course i think this is the best asset to my college expericence and plus the interim of cost because if i do well they might want to keep me their and that will be my opening opporunity of a career.
